When a refund is issued
Refunds are issued only after the product is received and inspected by GenX. Once the refund is approved and bank account details are received, the refund will be credited within a maximum of 7 working days.
A refund is considered only where the return itself is admissible under our Warranty & Return Policy, or where an order was cancelled before dispatch under our Order Cancellation Policy.
Refund timeline
The clock on the 7 working days starts only once both of the following are true:
- The returned goods have reached GenX and our technical team has completed inspection and approved the refund.
- You have provided complete and correct bank account details (account holder name, account number and IFSC) or a valid UPI ID.
Incomplete or mismatched bank details are the most common cause of delay. The account holder name must match the details we hold for the order.
How to request a refund
Write to support@genxbattery.com or call +91 78618 94512(Mon–Sat, 9:30–18:30 IST) with:
- Your name / company name and the order number
- The product(s) concerned and the reason for the refund
- Your RMA number, if a return has already been registered
- Bank account details (account holder name, account number, IFSC) or UPI ID
You can register the return itself at genxbattery.com/returns — you receive an RMA number immediately and our team follows up with inspection and shipping instructions.
How the refund reaches you
Refunds are credited to the original payment method wherever the payment rail allows it. Where it does not — for example bank transfers, NEFT/RTGS and cheque payments — the refund is made by direct credit to the bank account you nominate.
Where a GST tax invoice has already been raised against the order, the refund is accompanied by a GST credit notereversing that invoice, as required under Indian GST law. Bank-side clearing time after we release the payment is outside GenX’s control.
What is not refundable
- Products that are fully functional and as per the specifications published by GenX — see our Warranty & Return Policy. Defective products are handled by exchange after the RMA process.
- Orders where the goods have already shipped and no admissible return or warranty claim exists.
- Used, modified or physically damaged items, and packs damaged by reverse-polarity input, overload, short circuit, ESD or charging outside published specifications.
- Custom-built and OEM-specific packs that have entered production against your written approval, except where they are defective.
Freight, hazardous-goods handling and any duties already incurred on a despatched order are not refundable unless the return arises from a defect attributable to GenX.
